You might be wondering, why is Hayley dedicating a whole post to deodorants?? Well, you’d be surprised how often as a plus size model you’ll be in need of a good deodorant.

It is essential that plus size models wear deodorants that do not transfer onto clothes at fittings or auditions or show up and distract in pictures which sometimes does not occur to new and aspiring models understandably.

Additionally, ALL of the deodorants below are natural deodorants which are better for you as a human, but sometimes natural deodorants get a bad rap! However, I’ve personally tested all these deodorants so I know they work perfectly for your model needs!

Best Deodorants for Models

1. Hey Humans

I discovered Hey Humans about 6 months ago on a trip to Miami. I really didn’t want to sweat through my shirt in pictures and I knew Miami was going to be high heat and humidity.

With that said, I knew I needed a deodorant that would keep up with me! Unfortunately, I wasn’t familiar with the deodorants they had in store nearest to me. However, I got lucky and this Hey Humans deodorant had my back and exceeded my expectations!

Pro: the quality and formula of this natural deodorant are amazingggggg!! And the packing is sustainable. Con: the packaging although sustainable, can be difficult deal with when trying to push up the deodorant, but honestly, I love the formula so much I just dealt with it and still used it anyway. ALSO, something to consider is, I could have just got a janky one so maybe it’s not a normal problem.

2. Raw Sugar Living

About a year ago, I worked with Raw Sugar Living for their new deodorant launch and little did I know it would soon become one of my favorite deodorants!!!

I love the range of scents they have and that it is long lasting. I love that the packaging is sustainable and I love the formula too!! It’s also easy to find online or in-stores, you can either pick it up here on amazon or in-stores at your nearest Target! Keep one in your model bag and you’re good to go!

3. ThinkSport

My favorite thing about the ThinkSport deodorant is that it goes on clear so it’s easy to apply last minute and there is no worry about color transfer which is important.

ThinkSport comes in a few different scents to choose from and it’s easy to travel with! My only con to this deodorant is that it’s not super long lasting in terms of odor so if you’re on set for over 4-5 hours, you may want to reapply.

4. Salt + Stone

I just recently started using the Salt + Stone deodorant and so far I’m very impressed! I also aesthetically love the packaging. It’s a natural deodorant with a modern twist.

With this deodorant, I think you really get more bang for your buck aka it’s a good size product. It’s easy to use and travel friendly. My only con would be, although it is clear, you need to wait a few minutes for it to dry so it doesn’t transfer so I would suggest using it at home as opposed to your model bag for last minute use.

Other than that, I’m really enjoying it, I’m surprised how well the formula works, and how well it protects from odors!

5. Lumē Deodorant

Lastly, I mad multiple friends for weeks trying to get me to use Lumē and finally after the 3rd friend said try it – I gave into the hype!

And let me tell you – it was worth the hype!! The formula is incredible and SUPER long lasting.

Personally, I love this Peony Rose scent, but my friends have tried their other scents and say they work just as well and smell just as good!
